After seeing Halwani’s mind-blowing portrait of the Lebanese icon, we spotted Ashekman‘s rendition on a wall in Achrafieh, on the way to Sassine.

The text underneath, partially blocked by the parked car, reads, “baddi ‘ish lal miyeh bas la ysammuni el Sabbuha,” which roughly translates to, “I want to live to be a hundred just so they can call me Sabbuha,” which was her endearing nickname.
